PM Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone of AIIMS Bilaspur next month

“AIIMS will prove to be a big milestone in upgradation of health infrastructure in the hilly state and provide improved health care to the people at door steps. Prime Minister may also lay the foundation stone of one or two more projects, most likely the IIM at Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur,” said former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.

PM Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone of AIIMS Bilaspur next month

The foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 3.

Further, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda said that the AIIMS would provide much-needed tertiary medical services to Himachal Pradesh and its neighbouring states.

Moreover, J P Nadda showed gratitude towards PM Modi for sanctioning the premier medical institute in the hilly state.

J P Nadda said that the establishment of the institute in Bilaspur is a milestone in the list of achievements of the NDA government in the health sector. “Under the guidance and visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the (health) ministry is fast moving in strengthening the tertiary care network in the country,” Nadda added.

On December 2014, the Himachal Pradesh government decided to allocate land for setting up the AIIMS in Bilaspur district, the home constituency of Nadda.
