Technology stocks were finishing slightly higher today, with shares of tech companies in the S&P 500 adding almost 0.1% in value while the Philadelphia semiconductor index also was 0.1% above yesterday’s close.

Xplore Technologies Corp ( XPLR ) was lower in late Thursday trade, paring roughly half of a prior 5% decline that followed the rugged computer manufacturer today reiterating its FY17 outlook expecting revenue in a range of $75 mln to $85 mln, narrowly lagging the Capital IQ consensus looking for $85.4 million in yearly revenue. The company also said several executives, including acting CEO Tom Wilkinson, have been buying Xplore stock in recent weeks, spending more than $132,000 to acquire a combined 42,800 shares between Nov. 14 to Dec. 8 at an average of $3.10 per share. Also buying stock were John Graff, vice president for marketing, as well as Randy Denny, its vice president for sales and enterprise.

+ Live Ventures ( LIVE ) at one point more than doubled in price on Thursday after reporting a 92% year-over-year increase in revenue to $152 mln during its fiscal year ended Sept. 30. The company will report per-share earnings and other FY17 financial data at a later date.
– Revolution Lighting Technologies ( RVLT ) pared a portion of an 11% decline earlier today that followed reporting a preliminary 32.6% drop in Q4 revenue to $35 mln, trailing the $47.7 mln Street view. It sees between $165 mln to $175 mln in FY18 revenue, also lagging the $197.7 mln analyst consensus.
